Brake pads are not included. Racing pads are a personal choice, so Essex leaves them out of the kit price. The AP Racing Pro5000R calipers use industry-standard pad shapes stocked by every major pad manufacturer (Ferodo, Pagid, PFC, Raybestos, Endless, Hawk and more). Ask us to add a set at a bundled price.
CP9660 vs. CP9668 (front kits). Both are AP Racing Pro5000R Radi-CAL six-piston calipers with stainless pistons and anti-knockback springs. The CP9660 uses the common 18mm-thick FRP3144 pad shape and is roughly 14mm narrower, giving the most wheel clearance. The CP9668 takes 25mm-thick (1") pads for longer pad life and more thermal mass; it is about 1 lb heavier per corner and needs ~14mm more spoke clearance. Caliper finish. Standard kits use AP Racing's hard anodized finish. ENP kits use the same caliper with a jewel-like Electroless Nickel Plated finish that is exceptionally durable, resists brake dust staining and is easy to clean.
