Compounds
DS2500 — Street + track day. The benchmark dual-purpose compound: quiet, low dust, gentle on discs, works from cold and holds up to about 700°C on track. Ideal for HPDE and fast road use.
DS3.12 — Race / heavy track. Ferodo's flagship compound (2019): the flattest torque curve across the widest temperature range of any pad Essex has tested, superb release and modulation, very good disc life. The go-to for time attack, club racing and serious track days.
DS1.11 — Endurance race. Very long pad and disc life with a stable, linear torque curve and lower initial bite than DS3.12. A favourite for enduros and heavy cars with sticky tires.
Match front and rear compounds to keep the factory brake balance, and bed in new pads per Ferodo's instructions before hard use. Wear sensors are not included.
