Installation
- Larger than the factory rear discs; the kit includes caliper spacers and longer caliper bolts to reposition the caliper. No other modifications are needed.
Features
- Two-piece floating design: an iron friction ring on a 6061-T6 aluminum hat, cutting unsprung and rotating weight compared with a one-piece factory disc.
- Curved, directional cooling vanes act like a centrifugal pump, pulling air through the disc to control temperatures through repeated hard stops.
- Pin-drive float system with spring washers lets the ring grow with heat and self-center between the pads, without the cold-clunk rattle of a race-style floating rotor.
- Rings are cast from Girodisc's own high-carbon iron and machined in-house in Bellingham, WA; hats are machined from US-sourced aluminum.
- Keeps your factory calipers, brake bias and ABS behavior — a meaningful upgrade without a big brake kit.
- Serviceable: when the rings wear out, replace just the rings (D2-268) and keep the hats.
