The FD's master cylinder deflection issues are well documented, resulting in a mushy pedal, and inconsistent response to heavy braking. In our testing we found deflection not just in the horizontal dimension, but vertical as well, flexing the firewall and causing the master cylinder itself to "swing out" by more than 5mm. Designed specifically for the FD, our master cylinder brace provides a multi-point connection to the chassis, with a curved CNC billet aluminum body, which fits against the strut bar mount's base, providing additional structural support. The Hard anodized aircraft grade aluminum is extremely stiff, and will not deform under repeated, aggressive braking pressure. Preload can be easily fine-tuned with the adjustment screw, and there's no chance of damaging the master cylinder, thanks to swiveling foot that seats against it.
This master cylinder brace utilizes factory bolt holes and requires NO drilling or modification to your chassis. Installation takes 15-20 minutes, and the brace can be removed just as easily, should you decide to return your FD to its stock condition. This product is a must-have for track and street FDs, which undertake aggressive braking, and will result in a firmer, more responsive pedal, and an end to the gradual deformation of your firewall.
